So I have edited 2 videos in the youtube editor and it wont let me check a usage so I can monetize, any suggestions?

This could be due to third party content. Have you checked it trougj destkop mode on internet if you have a author message for those video's?
The first one was the channel trailer and all I did was edit out the before and after so it fit nicely, the second one I edited a montage video and added one of the free songs with nothing having to be given credit. It says the claim is not editable by the channel owner, it wont let me set a usage on it so I can monetize, no claims against it.
