Gaming JakeVegas from "Real American Gamer"

Greetings! I work in the Information Technology field and my birth name is Kevin, but I generally go by JakeVegas in the gaming communities, and I consider myself to be a real American gamer, so much in fact, that my channel is called "Real American Gamer". Playing video games has been my main hobby for 30+ years now. From the Atari 2600 and Pac-Man, to Nintendo and Super Mario Bros, to Sega Genesis and Altered Beast, to PC gaming and the original Doom, to Playstation and Metal Gear Solid, to X-Box and Halo, and currently back to PC gaming and the plethora of great modern titles available-- I'm no stranger to gaming and I was lucky enough to see and play practically every home console and gaming device at the time they were introduced to the world.

I'm strictly a PC gamer now, and although I enjoy many different game genres, I prefer first and third person shooters-- I've been an avid fan of the Battlefield series since Battlefield 2, but I play many other games as well.

Like many other You Tube gamers out there, I'm seeking to turn my favorite hobby into a possible 2nd income. the videos I intend on posting will be entertaining and of High quality, and I believe that they will be appealing to all ages of gamers, especially veteran gamers who have been around for some years will find it easy to relate to many of the references I makes.

I look forward to working with Freedom, and may all of us prosper together in the world of YouTube!

Umm...yeah...thanks for welcoming me to the community, Reddwarf, by doing nothing more than soliciting your own channel. If everyone did what you just did here, the entire forum would be nothing but everyone selflessly promoting their own channels in all of their replies. Not very cool, buddy.

Thanks much appreciated! Yeah, I've found PC gaming to be so much better than console gaming; there seems to be so much more content available on PC, and I'm just discovering Free-to-Play games, which are of surprisingly high quality. If you have the cash to invest in a decent gaming rig, then I would say go for it. I built my current PC about 2 years ago for about $1,000 and I can still run the majority of new releases on high and sometimes even Ultra graphic settings.[DOUBLEPOST=1450509767][/DOUBLEPOST]

Thats cool, I'm actually not that big a fan of working in IT, well at least at my current job that is lol. Although I dig it, I'm much more on the creative side, like writing, drawing, making music. But I do love a great video game![DOUBLEPOST=1450509966][/DOUBLEPOST]

On a side note-- does anyone know approximately how long it takes before Freedom lets you know if you've officially become a member of their network? I haven't officially heard from them yet and its been a few days....

Yeah I know what you mean but it does pay well to fund my YouTube career then I won't need a job :D
